Apprenticeships
Our Apprenticeship programmes are part of our Leading in Leicester and Leicestershire project and brought to you in partnership with Leicester College and University of Leicester’s Leicestershire Citizens Apprenticeship Fund.
These courses are for people employed by a community or charitable organisations and the applicant should be in full time employment.

Team Leader and Supervisor
ILM Level 3
Start Dates: April 2021 and September 2021
Duration: 18 Months
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for someone who is in their first line management role responsible for a project or managing a team.
The candidate’s role will involve achieving goals through direction, instruction and guidance.
Key responsibilities to include managing resources delivering operational plans and managing developing a team and building relationships with internal/external parties
What is involved?
The programme consists of 1 classroom day a month (currently online due to restrictions) and dedicated self-study of approx. 7 hours a week. Employers must give this time to the candidates as part of their normal contracted hours

Associate Project Manager
Level 4
Start Date: April 2021 and September 2021
Duration: 24 Months
Who is this course for?
This apprenticeship has been developed to prepare an apprentice for an Associate Project Manager role. Associate project managers need good planning, organisation, leadership, management and communication skills. An associate project manager utilises resources with suitable skills, qualifications, experience and knowledge to work together in a motivated and integrated team, with clearly defined reporting lines, roles, responsibilities and authorities.
We believe this delivers well-rounded project managers with abilities to effectively drive projects forward, and deliver anticipated outcomes, on time and on budget
What is involved?
Delivery model includes a blend of master class workshops, distance learning via VLE and 1:1 support from your trainer assessor.
Embedded Level D International Project Management Association (IPMA) qualification. The programme combines innovative design with a strong focus on workplace performance.

Operations or Departmental Manager
Level 5
Start Date: April 2021 and September 2021
Duration: 24 Months approx
Who is this course for?
The exact duration will be dependent on the previous experience of the individual. It is applicable to professional managers from all sectors – the private, public or third sector and all sizes of organisation.
What is involved?
The Operations / Departmental Manager apprenticeship will require apprentices to manage teams and/or projects, and have responsibility for planning, delivering and achieving departmental goals and objectives.
