The levy will cover the Training Provider’s costs of apprenticeship training for either new or existing employees. An apprenticeship will only be suitable when the employee has a requirement to acquire NEW skills.  For example:

  • A recently appointed member of staff doesn’t have all the skills or knowledge needed for their role.
  • A role has changed as a result of a restructure/re-deployment and requires additional skills and knowledge to meet operational requirements.
  • An employee would like to enhance their skills and gain a new qualification to progress as part of their agreed personal development.
  • An employee requires a qualification as part of new statutory or regulatory requirements.

If you are interested in completing one of the apprenticeships listed below, and you are in paid employment within the Voluntary, Community or Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector within Leicestershire, complete the nomination form linked below and follow return instructions at the end of the form to find out if you are eligible for the Leicestershire Citizens Apprenticeship Fund.
